Insulating timber frame

Cold old house- house with timber frame.

Have had the loft insulated - but wonder what else I can do? Plaster board walls and guys say cavity insulation not possible.

Original build 1979-80.

Add-on bits ca 1990. I'm not the original owner.

The only way to upgrade the walls is take the plasterboard down and put in the best insulation.
