Hi,

I have just installed a macerator and the discharge pipe (22mm copper) exits the external wall of the house and enters the soil pipe. This section of pipe has a very small length and a bend, i.e 2" to bend and 2" to soil pipe. Standard insulation would look ungainly and probably fall off after a while, is there a suitable tape or paint etc.. to apply to insulate the pipe against freezing.

Thanks

Sam

OOI, why have you used copper as waste pipe?

It recommends that or solvent weld in the manufacters instructions and I did not fancy the larger bore of the solvent weld going through joists etc... Also I could get better formed and sweeping bends with the copper.
