First time poster and I'm after some help.
I have a renovation project that has wooden suspended walls throughout on the ground floor. The timber is in good shape, but it's only 75x50mm. There is no insulation at all and it's pretty cold in the house
I's like to fit UFH and insulate the floor. I've looked at ripping up the boards, fitting insulation and the UFH and using either screed or metal diffusion trays. The limitation with this is that the timbers are slim and there's only 160mm beneath them so it's a max 50mm insulation.
As a better alternative, I'd thought about ripping everything out, putting down a layer of sand over the oversight, then a DPM, 150mm of celotex then 75mm reinforced screed with the UFH pipes in it.
Would this work and have I missed anything obvious?
