if you thinking of re-insulating your property, contact your local council/energy supplier as there are grants avaliable in order for you to do this. As it's an energy efficient scheme run by the government.
I have just had my loft insulated (supply and install) for £90. It would have cost me almost one and a half times more for me to do it, and also i would have had to install it myself.
Obviously depending on your situations at home, the grants do vary. We didnt qualify for the full payment unfortunately....
