Looking to order a new kicthen, we have a layout were happy with but just realised we need to add a cooker hood. Can this be fitted by our builders between 2 units or is that a huge problem?

You will need to replace 800 wall units with 500 units to allow a 600 extractor unit .Depends on style required.

The extractor we want will be slimline and integrated into the wall units. I think most are 600mm so 500mm units will not work?

why? 500/600/500 units gives your 1600 upper space .Where 600 is bridging unit with extractor below .

Can you not have a single 400, followed by 800, followed by another 400.

That way the hood will almost be in the middle of the 800 unit.

Each of the built in hoods that I have seen tend to vent out in the middle of the unit, and thus might not work with your current configuration.

Thanks I'll try again, both good suggestions. Trying to line wall units up with floor ones, that's all. I'll try those combos.

Opps suggestion allows upper units to match lower .
Out lower space is 1500mm so 400-800-400 is too wide
we've gone 450,600,450 though and that works with a longer top unit on the left.
