Integrated Fridge Freezer Cabinet Height

We need a new fridge freezer and the one we like is slightly taller than the space where the current FF is (I think most are these days). Above the FF there is space but there is a template piece of timber on top of a flat piece, but I don't know how it's attached!

How can I get that off without completely removing the FF? I don't want to order the new FF without knowing for sure that it will fit.

Could be on clips , but more likely secured from behind panel.So fridge will have to come out.
