Ok, I have a fairly old Diplomat integrated gas oven and separate integrated gas hob. The oven is playing up and so we thought, for the oven part, we would get an electric oven (plug in under 3Kw). What I seem to remember though is that if we have the main electric power at the fusebox switched off (for electrical work etc) then we have to set the time (when it's flashing on the oven part) in order to allow the integrated hob to allow gas through (this obviously has an electronic lighter and has it's own plug).
My question is, if we get the oven removed by a certified means, how will the integrated hob now work? Is there a connection underneath (or at the back) that connects the present oven and hob ? I don't mean the gas as I'm assuming the integrated has a solid pipe, whilst I know the oven has a flexible pipe.
Thanks
