I saw this today in Staffs.

A TN-S supply feeding two houses but not in TN-S...instead TT.

And on the same install, these worn cables: one taped up and split & exposed...

you say its feeding two dwellings but i see three sets of outgoing cables what gives?

also is it inside or outside? i'm sure its bad practice to have two different earths in a property and that cutout does not look suitable for outdoor use.

Sorry. Didn't mean to mislead you. It wasn't deliberate. There are three houses.

That is an external wall completely exposed.

What do you mean 2 different earths?

Every house has the same supply: TT.

indeed but that metal cutout body is presumablly connected to the TN-S earth so if it was inside a house there could be a potential between it and the house earth which could be a problem.

personally i'd be complaining to the DNO, that cutout doesn't look suitable for outside use and that cable REALLY looks like its seen better days.
