Found this today.

Nicely done, but a bit naughty!!

I'm surprised plug manufacturers make it so easy to add an additional neutral pin in the place of the live fuse holder.

Most people just replace the fuse wth an M8 bolt, but a neutral pin looks much neater.

What was the plug supplying?

best one i've even seen was Winsor Coles from the HSE always had a plug top with a solid brass pin rather than a fuse! his farmer friend gave it to him!!!

ive seen nails used as fuses before, not clever!

but the best one ive seen is a junction box on a wall in a very accsesible position......well i say junction box, it was actually a tuna tin!

I did a CU change a couple of years ago. Two days later I got a call back because the RCD was tripping. Despite the cause of the tripping being the ancient TV they'd acquired that day from a relative, the tripping must be my fault because it worked perfectly at auntie's.

The two cores of the TV flex were connected to phase and earth.

The general public are too stupid to be allowed to use electricity, let alone meddle with it.

It used to be a bedroom, and is now a bathroom. We were called to remove the sockets etc from the room.
