Interior feature brick wall sealer?

Hi All,

I've revealed one wall in my dining room back to bare brick. What sealant can you recommend to give a matt finish?

50% raw linseed oil and 50% turps or white spirit mixed together will give a nice matt finish. The turps gives it the colour and the oil keeps it like that.

What about a weak mix of PVA and water?
