Hot water from Glow Worm Swiftflow 100 keeps runnig cold whilst running the shower. The running light on the boiler goes out hence no hot water. By tapping the right side of the boiler caseing the running light comes back on, could something be sticking? The Heating is ok just the Hot Water - Any Suggestions?

Could be due to a faulty sensor, but more likely to be due to sludge build-up. The water flowing through the boiler then gets too hot, so it shuts off until it has cooled again. Normally that's a controlled process, but an insulating layer of scale etc introduces a temp overshoot and time delay.

Could be due to other things too. Needs a boiler engineer with the right surface temp probes and specific knowledge.
