intermitent hot water sime combi boiler

Hi, we have a sime friendly format 80E Combi boiler. It is just over 4 years old.
The radiators had cooled at the top for sometime so my partner bled them. The radiators have since been great - but we can now only get hot water if the radiators are on!!
When you turn the tap on it starts up like normal then cuts out. Also, we have to have the heating on for a while before we can run a bath.
Any advice would be great thanks!!

Failing diaphragm? Check the manual for details.

I don't have a manual - it was installed when I bought the house - but I was never given a manual.
Can you get them online anywhere?

Just a wild guess, but you could try Sime.

You have mentioned bleeding the rads but you have not mentioned topping up the pressure afterwards ???

Hi Tony,
Sorry yes the pressure was topped up afterwards - too much I think - so the radiators were bled again and water came out to release the pressure. It now sits at just under 1.
It also makes a ghostly howling noise from time to time.
