Does anyone know if there is a regulation on how high/low my internal door handles need to be? Just did an extension and was looking to put them at around 110cm, is that compliant with building regs? Thanks
Super, thanks for your help, builder installed holes at 90cm and screwed up, told me building regs needed them at that hight but I told him that unless I was 4ft tall he made a mistake
I just find it quite low as i don't use a wheel chair. My handles are all about 120cm high, the lowest in my house beeing 104cm high. Anyone know what a standard range possible would be in a travis perkins bought panelled door?
What is the point fitting low handles for wheelchair users when a standard internal door is not wide enough to get a wheel chair through, and nothing else in the house is designed for wheelchair users?
Handles are fitted to avoid the mid-rail joints. In pressed doors, the lock block is normally between 800 and 1200 up the door
But, this is the important bit ... they are normally fitted to match the other doors in the house
