Internal Porchway

Hello all,

Just after some advice as usual!

Mate of mine has a porchway he wants me to plaster for him but the current internal brickwork is painted, my assumption is hardwall over the brick and then skim over will be fine.

Is this correct?

if the brick work is painted best to key it up first go mad with the old scutch hammer
