Internal Wall Insulation PIR and Mouses

Interesting one here, I am fitting 100mm Kingspan between new studs on all my walls in a solid stone cottage. Problem is we are a bit rural and have a few field mice that I know LOVE the taste of this stuff. Any ideas to reduce the risk of them eating though £4000 worth of insulation? Someone suggested some kind of wire mesh on the new Stud wall facing the old stone?

Any ideas??
