Hi all. If you was standing at my garage door looking in, I have a door on the right hand side wall approx 450mm from the rear wall. It has 2 small piers each side of the frame.
I am looking to block that up due to an extension and relocate the door to the rear wall so it goes out in to the garden. The rear wall is single skin brickwork. My question is how far do I need to come in from the corner? Are piers needed? Or can it just be cut in with a concrete lintel above. There are 3 courses of brick above the proposed opening and roof joist. I’d like to put it as close as possible to the right hand wall. Any regs and advice.
Thanks
