Quick question if i may. I have bought a IP66 rated socket to be fitted on my outside wall. Is this notifiable?
Thanks

Depends how you install it.
If you are extending an existing circuit, then this would not be notifiable.
If the circuit is new from the consumer unit/fuse board, then it would be deemed notifiable.

Please make yourself aware or the requirements for 30mA RCD protection for this socket, and possibly the cable if buried less than 50mm within a wall or partition.

If you are extending the circuit from and existing socket circuit within the house, it is recommended that a two pole isolator or switched fuse connection unit is installed at the intersection within the property, this allows for both isolation for maintenance/fault without having power loss within property and will also would prevent mischievous use of the outdoor socket, with this means to isolate.
