Hi.

im new here and must say that this is an absolutely amazing forum for getting help.

i am doing a makeover on my bathroom and bedroom as it is absolutely falling to bits and due to the credit crunch im doing it myself to save money.

i am new to diy but through the help of this forum i am coping quite well.

i need to know if it is absolutely necessery to use a floorboard clamp.
i am laying down PTG onto the beams and will be covering it with tiles in the bathroom and with underlay and carpet in the bedroom. can i get away with not using a clamp?

cheers in advance for any answers.

you can "wedge" floorboards using offcuts and a big hammer, this is cost-free
