Guys

Just had a nightmare time resealing a bath area with CT1 sealent. I normally use any good quality silicone and get good results but with the CT1 I just found it a nightmare. I had to clean a couple of runs off and start again. Doesn't seem to flow like silicone.

Cheers

Thats because CT1 is an adhesive not a flexible silicone sealant.

You need a high modulus silicone sealant, ie the ones labelled bathroom sealant / silicone

CT1 is a MS polymer. It is much thicker and stickier than silicone.

It is a great product but it does have limitations and in certain circumstances it may be more difficult to work with. With practice you can achieve the same quality of finish.

I would use silicone to seal a bath that meets a tiled wall but would use CT1 to seal one that meets painted walls, primarily because it can be over painted.
