It is apparently very difficult to diagnose. I remember listing to a pod cast about it. There is a theory that the voices are due to disordered memory. Its rare for suffers to be unable to resist the commands or voices. Could be faking it.

How can it be cheaper to keep some fruit cake in prison for 30 odd years than just bumping them off

In the US anyhow it’s the DP appeals process that goes on for years that costs the money

It’s been established that it works out more expensive than LWP there anyway

Of course you can bump them off and that’s cheaper but there will be more miscarriage of justice that way

Not with the correct system in place there are a good few I could name smoking gun evidence no doubt as to there guilt none what so ever they could be bumped off with in weeks of any show trial

Stuff there human rights

Any one under 18 would be imprisoned untill they turn 18 and than bumped off

The problem with the death penalty, is it escalates violent offending. If you commit a crime that carries a death sentence, then you aren't going to worry about doing it again and again or taking a few people with you. Plus there will always be the miscarriages.

I knew of someone who killed 2 people . He was a bad person and(I'm convinced) not mentally ill at the time.

So his defence pleaded insanity and he was sent to a psychiatric hospital.

He spent time with a bad but very disturbed person there who was inspired to carry out a copycat type crime and subsequently killed 3 people
