Is it murder or man slaughter

You think it's idiocy to expose blatant hypocrisy?
You're welcome to your opinion.

What would you think is an appropriate punishment for vandalising street furniture, in pursuit of a political ideology?

The police have issued a half-hearted and doublespeak apology for Henry's death. Not mentioning how they didn't believe him when he said he had been stabbed, and not mentioning that they handcuffed and mocked him in his dying moments.

Nor have they released the police bodycam footage, which had recorded the arrest
Contrast this with those other notorious police incidents, George Floyd and Manchester Airport, where film quickly went public.

The thread isn’t about that.
Where there is blatant hypocrisy, it deserves to be exposed.
If you find that uncomfortable or embarrassing, don't excuse or ignore hypocrisy. Ignoring it is to tacitly accept it as normal.
