Is it necessary to repoint Brickwork?

    If I am having the build rendered will it be necessary to have any brickwork repointed if needed? I wont know until the Pebbledash has been stripped off.

    No unless there are deep holes to fill, the base coat will block it all out.

    When the masonry background is stripped & exposed why not post a pic of the elevation?

    Sometimes, esp in old property, its necessary & best practice to partially or fully point up before rendering.
    Its occasionally necessary to replace individual or patch brickwork.
