As subject and how easy is it?

Would it be a case of just cutting it down the middle and fitting flush hinges?

Is this a solid wood frame and panel door (o.e. a traditional door) or a flush-face modern door? If this is a flush-face door is it solid core or hollow core?

It may be possible to rip (saw) the door down the middle, but there will be a strength issue in the new door meaning that it will probably self destruct in time. The problem is that a door traditionally has rails on the outside (the pibeces going top to bottom) into which the top and borttom tails and the centre stile (the bits going side to side) are jointed. The central upright pieces (or muntins) are then jointed between the top/bottom rails and the centre stile. So if you cut up the middle of a door like this it will simply fall apart as you are robbing the door of all its strength. The only way to do it would be to make two new stiles for the joint - and to be frank it is easier to make a complete new door!
