Is it possible to get a boiler to work even though...

...the timer on the wall is broken. Do they have manual over-rides or some other way to get the central heating to fire up?

Go to the PCB, find your timers wires,remove them and replace with a wire link. Hey presto your boiler will fire up on CH :D
By the way thats how they come before a timer is added to the system.
 
it's a keston 80 and there's also a drayton wireless thermostat. the thing on the wall is a potterton controller that's completely blank. Thx
