Is it possible to have more than 50k in premium bonds

Start a thread on it and I may consider answering. This is a premium bond thread or had you forgotten? You’re trying very hard to take it off-topic. I wonder why?

A thread has now kindly been started on Reform policies so you don’t even have the bother of that. Now, off you pop to the correct thread and ask me nicely. There’s a good chap.

Admitted he will vote for him because he makes him smile. Not for his policies.
Nothing wrong with that is there? The others are complete misery's. The country needs to smile. Nigel is the man to put a smile on our faces. You must just like frowning.

I prefer a bit more substance in my politics

And I prefer proper comedy for my fun.

I don't want an attempted (but not good) comic in charge.

Call me old fashioned but I want an experienced politician to run the country

That's very old fashioned

To answer the original question. It is possible, it's not allowed, but it is possible

I held £3 in Premium Bonds from 1966 that I had totally forgotten about. I've held £50K in my own name for a while and they have moved addresses with me over time

When I was going through some of my late Father's paperwork, these paper bonds, in my name, fell out of a folder. i contacted NS&I and they said that I could redeem them, but not continue to hold them

Therefore, technically, I had £50,003 in the draw for a number of years

If anyone can afford to have 50k in premium bonds basically doing nowt, why not buy a 120k flat and let it?

Because it's a tax- and (more importantly) hassle- free 3.5% (In our household's case over the last year)

I prefer people to have experience outside politics.

Nobody ever said, I am going to start a new company, we are going to sell and install politics.
Politicians are best with experience.

Just like how the world works.

You can't teach experience, you need to learn it.

Mortgage 500 quid
Rent 1000 quid

500 quid profit?

Maybe
