l had a new shower tray installed , it feels uneven like standing on a slope, but it slopes towards the drain which is good as the water drains well. l was wondering if the slope is becasue the tray has an inbuilt slope or is it because the tray was not installed level. l have some photos with a spirit level. THere is a slope inside the shower but outer rim of the base seems fairly level , you can see the bubble photo on the left from inside the shower is way outside the line but the spirit level on the outer rim of the shower on the far right photo, you can the bubble just touches the line. The outer rim looks level but inside the shower theres a big slope .THe photos look hazy you need to click on each photo to enlarge to see clearly

The tray should be level around the outside lip. There is a built in slope towards the drain internally but shouldn't be that noticeable. Install looks fine

THe slope towards to drain feels steep like l am standing on a slope, but from the spirit level photo on the far right the outer rim of the base seems fairly level. Do some trays come with inbuilt slopes steeper then others

From your level on the outside lip it's probably about an extra centimeter off level across the length which exaggerates it

is a cm off level considered much or not something to worry about

I'm guessing a cm. At least it's going the correct way, almost as if they installed it with a fall instead of flat

Do you think l should complain to the builder about it or is one cm off in the correct direction something minor and not an issue, l guess all the water drains really well because of the slope. THe outer rim looks level, perhaps 1 cm off as you said, its only the inside of the base that slopes, l guess the base must have come with an internal inbuilt slope, l guess l should have checked the base before l bought it. My only issue is that its a bit uncormfortable standing on a slope when l am used to a flat base, l hope l get used to it

If not already done, check your level is accurate by turning end for end to see if the bubble shows the same both ways.
THnaks, yes l turned it both ways and the reading on both the inside of the base and the rim are the same as l posted on the photos.
On the outer rim the bubble stays between the two lines but inside the base its way outside the lines, but l guess that must be because of the internal inbuilt slope

You often find trays have 2 level edges and 2 that are slightly out. You get them as close as you can.
I'd say by the tile cuts and the fit of the screen that your tray isn't far out.

If you look at the lip of the shower tray as you walk in and then the lip at the back near the plug that will show the inbuilt fall. If you have a longer level you will see how far out the outer edge is but as said above if it was miles off the screen wouldn't fit and hopefully you'll just get used to it.

You can also look at the screen and see how plumb it is, either with your level or if you look at the screen as it enters the sleeve on the back wall you will see how much it has been adjusted from plumb.

thanks so would the only way to fix it be to pull up the base and put a new one in, would that be possible or risk damaging the walls or subfloor
