Hi. I have just had a shower tray installed. Before everything else is tiled, how do I make sure the installation is such that everything will drain properly and I won't have to be squeegeeing the shower tray? Should the ball fall towards the drain; should the whole tray be sloped towards the drain? Thanks

If you make sure all sides sit level with a tried & tested spirit level, then the tray will be designed to drain without pooling. Water won't rush toward the drain point, but a reputable make of tray installed properly with a correct falling waste pipe will be fully drained by the time you are out and dried off. It will still remain wet and in need of a wipe around, but there should not be any pooling.
