Assistance please.

We have an Oil Fired Danesmoor 15-19 (Min-Max 15kW-19kW) which is 11 years old. We have calculated based on the number of radiators fitted that their combined output is 14kW plus hot water. Currently we are having an extension built in which we will be fitting a further four radiators with an expected output of about 4.6 kW making a total of 18.6 kW.

Our question is , will our boiler (which we are also relocating from our present kitchen to the garage) be up to the job? If not what would anyone suggest should be the minimum kW needed?

Whilst the boiler output may be 14 kW I would be surprised if the heat loss is really that high.

The average three bed semi is usually only 10-11 kW. Even if its a four bed detached the heat loss is unlikely to be any more than 14 kW unless its badly insulated.
