is slightly damaged board ok?

I tried to snap a board instead of sawing and managed to pull some of the paper off. Will a plasterer easily fix this? I put the board up anyway. There'll be another board against it at right angle, so it won't be loose and flapping about.

dont worry about it - set the return boards an the top off-cuts an just go ahead an bang a little skim, or any kind of filler, into the gaps, allow it to more or less dry,an then tape the inside corners .
