I intend replacing a single built in fan oven. The existing cooker cable goes firstly into the hob connection box and then the same type cable feeds from the hob connection box to the existing oven connection box . This seems to be a strong cable . Underneath the hob this reads -this hob must be fitted with a three 4mm wire cable HD7 RNF.

The replacement cheaper basic 3200w fan oven acquired reads - for this oven the cable type must be H05V V-F 3 x 1.5mm .

Will I have to change the existing cable from the hob to the oven to a H05V V-F 3 x 1.5mm or can i use the existing cable ?
If it can the only problem i can forsee is the plastic power connection box on the new oven seems rather small.

Cheers .

Problem sorted . Advised to use a ceramic junction box to connect the older thicker cable cable to a new short length into the new oven .
