Hi, I am having to replace some slightly rotten floorboards that are supporting a stud wall and a bath.
Is there a minimum length that they need to be to support the weight or is it ok of they just run from one joist to the next?

Thanks

Are you sure they support a stud wall, or do they butt up to them? A short floorboard is fine but make sure it sits on half the width of the joist, you could add a batten to increase the support if space permits. Try to spread the weight of the bath across several joists if you can.

Blup
