Hi,

Every so often I get some water running back into my washing machine from the sink. Does anyone know if there is a one way valve available that I can put at the end of the hose, where it connects to the sink?

I would prefer the valve to go here as the washing machine is fitted into the kitchen units, so it would be the easiest option.

Many thanks

yes - non return valves are available but the problem suggests that your waste pipework may be partially blocked - check that the trap is clear. Try raising the waste hose from the washing machine before it joins the sink waste - form an inverted U

Thanks for the quick reply - I'll check out the sink trap, etc and stick one of these valves on as an extra precaution :)

Cheers :)
