i have a recently fitted worcester greenstar Ri boiler.
as my timer controls are in a hard to reach airing cupboard, and don't bother with the timer too much anyway as in and out of the house at iregular times, would it be OK to leave timer on constant all the time and to switch boiler off and on at the switch directly on the boiler, would this mean i was using more energy and would it be in anyway dangerous to keep using the boiler switch like this ?
thank you

Why don't you leave the timer on 24h setting and use the room thermostat that would have been fitted with your new boiler. Best not to use the boiler on/off switch to control the system. Could result in premature component failure.

If you turn the boiler off at the boiler switch you could be stopping the pump over run function which can cause heat exchanger problems.
Best just turn off at room stat
