Is this asbestos? Black insulation

i am moving old airing cupboard and merging a room into it. I noticed black insulation above it. See pictures. Could it be asbestos?

Unlikely, but no way to tell from a photo.

It's just as likely, if not more so, to be glass-fibre or rockwool insulation. Only way to really know is to get it tested, using a reputable tester.

Looks like filthy rock-wool , asbestos would be in sheet form.

Asbestos doesn't have to be in sheets:
