Is this crack easy to fix or needs a major overhaul?

I noticed the floor near the end of a wall inside my garage is wet.
I thought it was because one of the tins of liquid was leaking, but outside I can see a long crack along the garage.

After a quick search online, I found a similar issue where they first use backer rod foam joint before using a polyurethane sealant.

Would this be the easiest way of dealing with the issue or does it need a major overhaul?

Thakns very much and hope you can help.

A concrete fillet won’t protect water entering the garage especially as there’s a down pipe helpfully complementing the external supply of rainwater, and the wall needs pointing. I’m assuming there’s no dpc/dpm in the garage wall/floor or if there is it’s been damaged or bridged. You need to check that out.

Thanks for you reply.
There is something that resembles a dpc/dpm that runs along the wall but not sure if it's doing anything.

Yes, that downpipe is not helping. I did have a water butt connected to it until recently after a clear out so I might try and reconnect it and then run a hose from its tap to somewhere more acceptable. There's no drain or soakaway near by unfortunately.

Is there nothing that can be simply poured into the crack for a cheap fix?

Thanks again.

Pour a bucket of water down, see where it runs.
Does that pile of bricks restrict the drainage?

I certainly don’t know the solution(s) to your problem, but it looks like the bricks need pointing in the first picture.
