Is this fixable

I've got a plasterer coming in Tuesday (excellent work but foreign so communication is a problem), started tapping off the blown plaster and this is what i've ended up with.
Thoughts and advice how to proceed would be appreciated

take all the loose plaster off and when your spread turns up he should know what to do.its just a bigger patch to re-plaster,not a problem at all.

Thanks. Thats made me feel better, the whole job spiralled from changing a radiator to a total room refurb! ..always the way.
