Is this window costing me energy. Worth a blind?

I have a hallway window which we like. Nice feature of house. However when I’m putting a heat gun around the frame and window, it’s about 11-13 degrees. 15 degrees within 40cm of window and the rest of hallway is about 17.

The hallway is 17 degrees. The window is 125x180cm. So quite large.

I want to avoid it (as I like the window as is)but should I really be installing a blind to save energy?

A blind will only help a little - much more effective will be a timber frame, which can be slipped into place as needed, with a suitable film over it.
