Israel accepts the numbers are correct...

The book was received negatively in many quarters, with critics charging that it was poorly researched and/or allowed others to exploit it for antisemitic purposes. The German historian Hans Mommsen disparaged the first edition as "a most trivial book, which appeals to easily aroused anti-Semitic prejudices". Israeli Holocaust historian Israel Gutman called it "a lampoon, which takes a serious subject and distorts it for improper purposes. I don't even think it should be reviewed or critiqued as a legitimate book."<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_Finkelstein#cite_note-37"><span>[</span>37<span>]</span></a> The Holocaust Industry was also harshly criticized by Brown University Professor Omer Bartov,<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_Finkelstein#cite_note-bartov_review-38"><span>[</span>38<span>]</span></a> University of Chicago Professor Peter Novick and other reviewers accusing Finkelstein of selective or dubious evidence and misinterpretation of history.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_Finkelstein#cite_note-39"><span>[</span>39<span>]</span></a> At the time the book was published in Germany, Der Spiegel reported the country was "in the grip of Holocaust madness. Finkelstein is being taken seriously. What he says corresponds with what many who do not know the facts think." In an interview, Finkelstein said, "the Holocaust is a political weapon. Germans have legitimate reasons to defend themselves against this abuse".<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_Finkelstein#cite_note-40"><span>[</span>40<span>]</span></a>
It looks like an accurate description of the Israeli use of 'everything Israel is also Jewish', allowing them to argue criticism of Israel is ant-Semitic.
Finkelstein has called Israel the "Jewish supremacist state", and views it as committing the crime of apartheid against the Palestinian people.
He's a left wing Israeli, so anything he does or writes will be seen as anti-Israel and thus anti-Semitic.
He was even barred from entering Israel for a few years. I'd call that suppression of alternative opinion, i.e. preventing free speech.
What would you call it?

Not true, there is a small Jewish cemetery in Hull which forms part of my mates garden, They built a new motorway through Hull city centre and the whole motorway had to be diverted around this small cemetery which houses approximately 12 bodies. The motorway cut through an old normal cemetery where they exhumed 100 bodies. They couldn't do anything to the Jewish cemetery other than go around it and I completely agreed with it.
Do you realise your 'report' confirmed what JohnD was saying?

Do you realise that JohnD said that I didn't agree with it?

I realise that after Ivor said he found it weird to be hurt and offended when people didn't respect cemeteries you agreed with him.

I realise that after Ivor said that, and after you agreed with what he said, JohnD said that the two of you obviously don't think that cemeteries should be respected.

I realise that you are now saying that what JohnD said wasn't true.

I realise that if you claim to have a moral standard that cemeteries should be respected and yet you don't understand why people get upset when they are not then your claim is pretty tenuous.

Blimey, I didn't realise there was a back story to their disagreement.

I am not concerned that a bomb drops in a war zone in a cemetery over dropping a bomb on top of people that are alive. I do not see the cemetery as serious. I do not agree with being able to remove Jewish bodies from a Jewish cemetery in order for a road to be placed through it. I fail to see how you find this so difficult to understand.

But you're very ambivalent about removing bodies from non-Jewish cemetries, to build a road?

I think I can safely assume that you're also ambivalent about removing bodies from a Muslim cemetery, with a bulldozer, as has happened many times in Gaza.

Pretty fkin stupid when you've got your own people held as hostages, quite possibly inside those same tunnels.
Stupid? You mean when a platoon of fully armed IDF soldiers, happens across white flag waving, bedraggled unarmed men, speaking Hebrew, begging for their lives and surrendering, they rake them full of bullets?

Why would anyone think they were murderous hate filled genocidal nutters, eh.

Israel’s official and unofficial spokespeople are in damage control mode after a senior military official admitted last week that Israel accepts the death toll published by Gaza’s health ministry, which currently stands at more than 70,000. This comes after two years in which Israel and its supporters took every opportunity to disparage and dismiss the health ministry’s figures, arguing that they were overblown or fabricated by Hamas.

And the army’s own data proves it... through a combination of mass surveillance and AI algorithms, Israel suspects to be a militant belonging to Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad. According to data we obtained from this database in May last year, Israel had killed fewer than 9,000 militants at a time when the health ministry’s overall death toll stood at 53,000.

The database, therefore, indicated that 83% of Gaza’s dead were civilians, pointing to a civilian casualty ratio with few parallels in modern warfare that adds further weight to accusations of genocide levelled at Israel by the UN, human rights groups and leading genocide scholars.

Interesting. Were you OK about the 100 "normal" bodies being moved? You give the impression that you thought this was absolutely fine, while moving Jewish corpses wouldn't be.
