I get really irritated by how the right-wing media (GB News, Talk) will so willingly play the victim card on behalf of Israel and be deliberately blind to anything dodgy they do.

Also they (and Israel) often interpret any criticism of Israel as being anti-semitic. Which I'd say is anti-semitic in itself, as it's conflating Zionism with Jewishness.

I just wish they'd all shut the hell up, and the flag-wavers on both sides stop inflaming things. I'd suggest that 90% of them don't understand what they're in favour of or against anyway, it's just a dumb trend to get aboard.

Much of my posting history on the subject has disappeared, like tears in the rain, because of threads (and evidence) having been deleted.

I have in the past stated (Odds can confirm this) that I'm no fan of Netanyahu and feel he's the wrong man for the job, I've stated that I believe the settlements in the West Bank are illegal and at least some of that land needs to be given back and the map in that area redrawn to the satisfaction of both sides.

On Gaza, they have my 100% support, in the north they have my 100% support, and let's face it, they have support from from Syria and Lebanon, after all, who wants to be ruled by Hezbollah/Iran. Gaza could have ended long ago if Hamas had been prepared to stop sacrificing their own people and returned the hostages.

When synagogues and schools are being attacked here and all over the UK and Europe forcing the Jewish community to pay for protection, only a fool would deny that anti semitism doesn't exist, in Australia they pretended it didn't exist and pandered to the Muslim community, as a result of that we saw the massacre at Bondi Beach.

Israel as a state has only existed since 1948 when they declared statehood under UN resolution 181.
Iirc the Arabs turned the same deal down, choosing instead to invade Israel.
