Israel tries to scupper peace talks.

That's a good assessment imco, in my opinion Israel should surrender a large part of the West Bank that they've occupied. This won't happen for two reasons.
1. Israel has occupied too much land over too long a period.

2. Palestine have rejected a two state solution too many times over too long a period.

I really don't know what the solution is.
Nuke the entire middle east - think of a giant glass bowl, thats all what would be left, world would be a much safer place.

Its the heat out there, it fries their brains and they just can't stop the war-ring
trouble is with this global warming other places will overheat, southern europe ! may be we should nuke that lot too, just in case!

Iran has the ability to destroy a lot of the oil, gas, and clean water producing assets in the area,
Israel has the ability to destroy a lot of the oil, gas, electric and clean water producing assets in the area, and regularly exploits that capability to a) cause death and disease, and b) as a collective punishment on the local population, which is a war crime.

2. Palestine have rejected a two state solution too many times over too long a period.
1937. Peel Commission. Arabs rejected the cessation of land to create a new Israel state.
1947. UN Partition Plan. Arabs rejected the UN proposal imposed on them.
2000. Camp David Summit. PLO rejected the proposal because Israel kept moving the goal posts. Even POTUS of the time Clinton became frustrated with Israel's ever changing demands, and indeterminate offers.
2008. Olmert proposal. Abbas, who was not the Palestinian elected leader rejected the Israeli offer of inadequate land swaps.
2020 Trump Peace plan.

The Palestinians have been demanding Israel returns to its pre-1967 borders since the Oslo Accord (1993) which it has repeatedly refused to do.
Palestinians and their advocates argue that these rejections were based on the grounds that the proposed deals offered unviable, fragmented territories, failed to grant full sovereignty, or did not adequately resolve the status of Palestinian refugees.
