Called out this morning. shower not working. went to the supply and fuse board first. Found a wylex rewirable with no spare ways, so the installer had wired off the supply side of the main switch into an rcd, then off to bathroom isolator. RCD has an I delta n of 0.03A and rated at 40A. An ironing board had depressed the test button. Guess the mistake?[/wiki]

correctamundo. No paper trail, nothing, cash for job. makes me sick. Regardless of Part P notification changes. Something needs to be done about educating the public in needing some sort of registered paperwork.

Exactly my point! Notification etc hasn't changed a thing!

Just like using phones at the wheel, it's illegal but it still happens.
