I've started framing out my barn conversion

and I've discovered that I'm using C16, when C24 was specified. (Just checked this AM, my very bad.)

Am I looking atripping it all out and starting again?

I guess I could leave what I've already put in, and double up the vertical posts using C24, if I need to get more strength.

Don't know how much you've done, best to have a word with your building inspector, they might find another way round it

Well, happily 10 hours after the gnawing in the pit of my stomach turned into full blown panic, I managed to get in touch with my engineer.

C16 is fine, (So why he specified C24 in the first place is a little perplexing)

Doesn't mean I wasn't an arse for not checking the spec first though. Onward and upward.
