Morning All,

I'm just doing up an old 2 bed terraced that has solid brick walls. Rendered on the outside which has been checked for condition and I am likely to also have a new liquid damp proof installed.

I want to install insulated plasterboard on the inside of the external walls.

I was wondering what we're best practices to ensure you prevent a build up of condensation on the internal brick surface?

Cheers
Russ

you should not have condensation issues on internal walls whatever.

So weather I bond the insulated plasterboard directly to the brick, or to battens won't make a difference, there will be no issues of condensation?

there shouldn’t be on internal walls no.
but personally I prefer to batten external walls.

I'm planning the warm battern method (PIR, battens, PB), you lose more floor area, but this does mean you can foam and tape joints in PIR and gives a useful void for services
