I've got a Werner 3 piece aluminium loft ladder. Never had a problem before but now the middle section seems to be jammed with the top section. I can't see anything broken or bent. The bottom section moves but is stiff. Any ideas please

Mine is more or less the same design, the only thing I can think of, is checking the latches either side, have been fully retracted - one either side, for bottom section, two more for the middle section. One of each pair is sprung, the other not.
