has anyone had any experiance good or bad with these boilers

Johnson and Starley are more renowned for their warm air heating, and built some good units for that market. Not sure about their range of boilers, only ever saw one. Stick with the mainstream brands would be my advice until you're sure.

They used to be big in warm air units back in the 70's, but not well known for conventional boiler systems.
