Hi,

I'm looking for help with our John Lewis Tumble Dryer JLTDH16 showing error code E60 whist drying. The machine ate the door seal and after replacing it the E60 code went away. It looks like the code points to the door switch and I wonder if fitting the new seal pulled the door tight for a while keeping the switch connection working. I'm about to order a replacement switch, but when I ran diagnostics it showed E63 so I'm now wondering if there is another fault.

Switching it off and on clears the fault for a while. Apart from that it's working fine so I'm wondering what E63 is and if it's worth worrying about.

Best regards,
Dave

Just noticed the cooling phase cycle indicator (fan type symbol) also flashes when this happens.

I did not watch all of this
but it suggests that sixty codes are heater related & you need to fault find that area.

Try checking the thermal fuses. They are the round ones. Use a multimeter to check to see if they are open or closed. They are probably the cheapest components that "may" need replacing.
