John Lewis WM1405 Washing Machine Selector Dial Broken

Hi People,
The selector dial on my machine has been forced causing it to spin freely without clicking on the wash settings, is this easy to replace or should i get a pro to do it, can get the new dial online for a fiver. This is my first post, any help and advice would be appreciated.
