Johnstone's Egg shell acrylic paint

I just come across the above paint, which says condensation resistant. Has anyone used it, is it recommended??

I don't think so, it says resistant to condensation, if gathers condensation on surface then leads to mould, it says mould resistant on the tin, it's similar to bathroom paint and perma white. Better than matt and silk when comes to condensation, matt being the worse. I spoke to Dulux; they recommended their own diamond eggshell but twice the price of johnstones, I need 20 litres so big difference in cost for similar spec product.

I can recommend it - I used it in my kitchen and its very tough and cleanable condensation does not gather but I have good ventelation and extraction but if it does gather as said - very easily wiped

As others have suggested, it will not stop condensation. It simply means that the condensation will run down the wall rather than penetrating through the paint.

If you have condensation, even if the walls were made out glass, the condensate will form and run down the walls. The glass will be fine but the water will hit the floor at some point.

"Resistant" is a marketing man's dream word.

It says on the eggshell but doesn't say on the emulsion, matt or silk so should mean something. It's a trial of another paint, it should do better than the ones have tried in the past, the bottom line is whatever I do will fail if tenants don't provide ventilation and heating between Oct to March. It's the same in my house in the box room, we leave windows open ajar in the mornings and with heating eliminates the problem, even though I have insulated cavity walls.
