hi all,

What's the best way to join A193 sheets of mesh to each other?

I had seen mention of Lockwire - but the only Lockwire I can find is really thin stuff for locking bicycle nuts etc.

How about arc welding the sheets together?

Is it necessary to join it when putting mesh into a concrete base?

Lockwire for nuts will be fine. In reality just overlapping by at least 2 squares will do fine unless your building something with a very technical spec.

The average garage or workshop base overlapping will do fine. More important is that you space it into the depth of the slab properly and support it well enough that you dont knock it out of place when barrowing over it etc

yep you can weld them together if you like or just use cable ties. If you must use wire search for steel fixing wire, but fixing really isn't necessary if just using mesh for a concrete base, just overlap one on top of the other and pour the concrete in.
