Hi
We need to use Joist seal's on the end of our 1st floor joist in a new extension. Our new joists are 47 x 147 mm and the seals on scewfix are 225x 50mm. Is the difference in size going to be a problem? or is it ok to have seals that are slightly to long (in height) than the joists?
Also we have 8 " steels in place and need to sit one end of the joists on the steels, how much joist needs to be placed on the steels?
Thanks
Nelliedee

why can'y you just buy the sleeve size you require?

100mm bearing is acceptable for the joists.

Thanks for the bearing info. Screwfix only sell 2 sizes of the sleeve s
